FOX AND BEAR
Legend
A story of how Polar Bear lost his tail due to fox and how he then outfoxed the fox.
QUEEN OF THE SEA
This puppet animation film is based on the lifestyle and legends of the Inuit,Eskimo, people of the northern Polar Regions. The story illustrates the importance of human comradeship, loyalty, the natural world and our place in it.
Far away in the distant north, a big black bird left his nest, took on human form and visited a lonely igloo at the edge of a village. A young girl, Aninak, was soon convinced to marry him and her mother waved sadly to her as they left in his kayak. His nest seemed to be a strange home to her, but when the young man changed back into bird form, she thought it was a bad dream. She was not satisfied with the fish he brought her and decided she must escape. As she paddled away the bird tried to stop her, but she sank below the surface of the water. The animals of the sea saved Aninak and made her their queen, named Sedna, who now protects all living creatures.
