REPREZENTIN’ IN KETTLE POINT

In the wake of another crime in a small reserve community a young man arrives bringing hope, inspiration and an important message. His unorthodox approach to empowerment touches one group of kids who want change.

The episode explores the journey of a group of youth that decide that they want change. Their efforts are prompted by the outspoken youth counsellor who has been assigned the job of working with the seemingly hopeless group following yet another violent crime in the small community.

The counsellor, Cedric is a 26-year-old Mowa/Choctaw from Alabama who has committed his life to empowering Aboriginal youth across Canada and the United States. His teaching and disciplinary style is unique and he reaches the youth through his own methods and ideologies. He is successful in influencing a small group of kids from the reserve.
