MUSIC FROM A PAINTED CAVE
Robert Mirabal takes tribal music, with all its’ mystery and spins it into the universal realm of the 21st Century.
Beautiful and colorful creative imagery on stage, Painted Cave is a intermingling of song and backgrounds that honor the ancestors who told their stories by drawing images on Rocks in secret places. This music is offered as a healing for the human spirit and in remembrance of why we are all here together.
As a little boy growing up in the Taos Pueblo, Robert would sit around at night listening to stories of the past from my grandparents. “Those tales are painted in my mind as I live and work in the new century…I wrote these songs for the hopes and dreams for the next generation for all the children everywhere.”
