George Amiotte is an Oglala Lakota ,Sioux, who carries the sacred blanket of his nation for the Sundance Society. In this film, he portrays Coyote, the mystical magical Messenger from the Great Mystery. George Amiotte ,Coyote, speaks about his personal life and how he came to represent this character from the legends and prophesies of his people. The intriguing stories he shares from his life's experiences describe his responsibilities as a member of the Lakota Nation and guardian of the Sundance. We are given a rare glimpse inside the realm of the Lakota as Coyote tells about his own trials and tribulations growing up on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, as well as his own people's survival from the European migration.
