Within the Walls - A Story of Healing

Within the Walls is a documentary following the healthy process of Aboriginal inmates at William Head Institution, a federal prison located on the rugged coast of Vancouver Island. The Aboriginal people have experienced oppression, racism, and abuse. The negative effects of these experiences have trickled down through the generations. Today, there is a disproportionate number of Aboriginal People incarcerated in the federal prison system. Once in prison, many Aboriginal inmates are introduced to the Native Brotherhood. It is within the Brotherhood that many begin their journey on the Red Road. The good road. The road to healing.
